COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is a study of “Guidepost for Victorious Christian Living” based on the book of Galatians. It is essentially a Bible study for laymen, ministers, and teachers in the Body of Christ and highlights vital principles of faith and abundant living found in Paul’s letter to the Galatians. The English text will be studied with insights from the Greek. Special emphases include: the background of the letter, Law versus Grace, the meaning of Apostleship, Flesh versus Spirit, the “Law of Sowing and Reaping.”
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
► Understand and appreciate the Book of Galatians, its contents, its writing, its author, and its place in our Christian faith.
► Probe critical and valuable theological issues as they are given in the text of Galatians.
► Examine the background in the early Church and the first century world of the Gospel truths presented in the book.
► Apply this extremely relevant and inspiring book to his own Christian life and faith today.
COURSE ACADEMICS
This course is worth four quarter units of credit in the degree programs of Embassy College.
Your Instructor
Dr. Ronald E. Cottle is the Founder and President Emeritus of Christian Life School of Theology (CLST Global), the Founder and President Emeritus of the Apostolic Council of Transformational Servant-Leaders (ACTS) and the Founder and President of the Embassy College (EC).
He received a diploma in Theology from Southeastern Bible Institute, Lakeland, Florida, a B.A. in English-Religion, Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, the M-Div. from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina, and both the Ph.D. in Religion and the M.S.Ed. and Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
