AN INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW APOSTOLIC REFORMATION
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is a study of the fundamentals and "secrets" of the fastest growing churches in all areas of the world, the New Apostolic Reformation Churches. Special emphasis is given to what the Bible means when it says that the foundation of the church is apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
► Understand and appreciate what God is doing around the world in the New Apostolic Reformation.
► Probe critical and valuable theological issues of church growth.
► Examine the new emerging structures of authority, leadership training, ministry focus, worship styles, prayer forms, church planting and finance in the 21st century church.
► Grasp and implement the key elements of apostolic ministry and the role and function of apostles.
► Articulate the contrasts between the traditional role of the pastor and the role of an apostle.
COURSE ACADEMICS
This course is worth four quarter units of credit in the degree programs of Embassy College.
Your Instructor
Dr. Peter Wagner served as a missionary in Bolivia under the South American Mission and Andes Evangelical Mission (now SIM International) from 1956 to 1971. He then served for 30 years (1971 to 2001) as Professor of Church Growth at the Fuller Theological Seminary’s School of World Missions until his retirement in 2001.
He authored 80 books. He was the founding president of Global Harvest Ministries from 1993 to 2011 and founder and chancellor emeritus of Wagner Leadership Institute (now Wagner University), which trains revivalists and reformers to bring about a global movement of transformation. He also founded Reformation Prayer Network, International Coalition of Apostles, Eagles Vision Apostolic Team, and the Hamilton Group and served as vice president of Global Spheres, Inc. Dr. Wagner entered into eternity in October of 2016.
